Podcasts de debate : uma análise da participação das mulheres nesse novo formato.

2020
The goal of this reserach is to recognize the participation of women in debate podcasts. For this, the discussion is around the expanded radio scenario (KISCHINHEVSKY, 2012; 2016; 2017) and the podcast format (VICENTE, 2002; 2018), in addition to a discussion about debates or round tables on mass radio (MCLEISH , 2001; KAPLUN, 2017) and the proposal of initial characteristics about the debates podcasts. The contextualization of the theme also explain a timeline about radio phases (FERRARETTO, 2012; 2014; 2019) and how each one relates to social moments experienced by women. Initially, a content analysis is made (BARDIN, 1977) with a quantitative part that allows obtaining numbers through operators, and a qualitative one that allows a description based on observation criteria. The other methodology part consists of a comparative case study (YIN, 2001), which facilitates visualization and understanding of the data obtained in the content analysis. The research corpus consists of nine episodes, three from each theme: “Feminism and women”, “Masculinity” and “Politics”, and, by theme, one from each podcast: “Mamilos”, presented only by women, “Nerdcast”, presented only by men, and “Imagina Juntas”, presented by two women and a man. The main result obtained is that women are, increasingly participating and legitimizing their place of speech through podcasts, mainly due to the democratization presented by this media format. However, it is also important to note that this isn’t a general inference and some podcasts, especially those presented by men, aren’t yet part of this movement nor do they provide space for their voice.
