6.10 Structure–Function Correlates in Plant Ion Channels

2012
Potassium uptake systems of plant cells evolved to perform specialized tasks. They must guarantee the uptake of K + from the soil and its redistribution throughout the plant. This chapter summarizes the latest knowledge on structure–function correlates of plant K + transporters and channels and discusses these in a physiological context.
