Research status of proton exchange membranes for fuel cell

The research of proton exchange membranes(PEM) for fuel cell has been attracting more and more attention at present, while proton exchange membrane is the key component of proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC). The characteristics and the latest investigation of PEM, such as the perfluorosulfonic acid PEM, the partially fluorinated PEM, the nonfluorinated PEM, organic/inorganic nanocomposite for PEM, were especially described. The development foreground of the PEM was discussed at the end.
