Aqueous fractions of Rosa damascena caused increase on the basal contraction of rabbit's jejunum and guinea pig's ileum contractions, dose dependently (p<0.001). The response of ileum and jejunum to aqueous fraction was decreased after antagonizing the cholinergic receptors.
