Cycle Performance of a Hybrid Working Medium for a New Type High Temperature Heat Pump

2010
A theoretical and experimental study was conducted of the cycle performance of a new type of environmental protection non-priming hybrid working medium M1,which has a zero ozone depleting potential(ODP).Under the operating condition of a high temperature heat pump of which the condensing temperature ranges from 80 to 110 ℃ and the cyclic temperature rise reaches 45 ℃,a theoretical and experimental study was performed of the cycle performance. An analysis of the theoretical cyclic performance shows that the comprehensive performance of M1 is superior to that of the traditional working medium CFC114.It has been found from the test results that the heat quantity Q produced by the M1 system and the coefficient of performance(COP) will increase with an increase of the operation temperature.During the test, the maximum mean condensing temperature of M1 attained 102.3 ℃ and the corresponding heat output temperature reached 103.0 ℃.The condensing pressure and exhaust gas temperature were 1.951 MPa and 119.0 ℃ respectively. All the foregoing parameters are within the limits for a safe use.
