Discussion of Mass Transfer Effects and Liquid-Liquid Transport

The explicit purpose of this workshop session was to identify research and development needs in the areas of liquid-liquid direct-contact transport processes and simultaneous direct-contact heat and mass transfer. This task was greatly facilitated by the review papers by Perona [1] and Letan [2], which provided the necessary guidance for the discussion.
