Tokat İli ve İlçelerindeki 15-25 Yaş Grubunda Olan Bayanlarda Vitamin B12, Folik Asit, MCV Hgb ve Hct Değerlerinin İncelenmesi

Folate and vitamin B12 are watersoluble vitamins, which are necessary for DNA synthesis and cell division. The deficiency of these vitamins in preconcepcional period cause fetal neural abnormalities. In this study, our aim was to evaluate levels of vitamin B12, folate, hemoglobin and MCV of erythrocytes, and the changes of this values due to living areas in 15-25 years old women. For this purpose, we analysed retrospectively the data of 1407 women who admitted to policlinics of Gaziosmanpasa University Hospital from 11.10. 2010 to 11.10. 2015. Mean folat values of women living in Tokat City Center, and in rural areas of Tokat province were detected 7.66±2.38, and 7.97±2.77, respectively. There was a significant difference between them (p=0.037). There was also a significant difference between these groups in respect to Vitamin B12 (p=0.004). We found that, folate and vitamin B12 levels of women living in Tokat city center were significantly lower than those living in rural areas of Tokat
