Multi-octave-spanning supercontinuum generation in lead fluoride crystal

We report the filamentation and supercontinuum generation of femtosecond pulse in a piece of PbF 2 crystal with high bandgap and ultra-broadband frequency window. A broadband supercontinuum spanning from 350 to 9000 nm is demonstrated. © 2019 The Author(s)
