The invention discloses a foaming ceramic insulation board and a preparation method thereof. The foaming ceramic insulation board is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 30%-60% of pulverized fuel ash extracted aluminum oxide residue, 5%-15% of talc, 5%-15% of coal gangue, 30%-50% of fluxing agent and a proper amount of auxiliary material. The pulverized fuel ash extracted aluminum oxide residue and the coal gangue are used as main raw materials for preparing the foaming ceramic insulation board, so that a new approach is provided for the disposal and utilization of the pulverized fuel ash extracted aluminum oxide residue and the coal gangue, and the economic benefits and environmental benefits are increased; moreover, the foaming ceramic insulation board disclosed by the invention is lightweight and has high tensile strength.
