Absorption spectra and Fluorescence Lifetime of p‐Xylene Molecule at Cryogenic Temperature

A matrix isolation system was constructed and used to study the absorption spectra of p‐xylene molecule at 12 K. In order to measure the fluorescence lifetime of this molecule, a single photon counting system was also constructed and tested separately and then put together with the matrix isolation system.
