The Belgrade City Library is the biggest lending library in Serbia. In its essential function, the Holdings, with over 500.000 books, is turned to numerous readers, while with its programme activities, the Library is the most attractive Institution in Town. The topics of this paper are entertainment programmes of the Library, the analyze of the Work and the Report of Engagements of the Department of Culture and Information Activities, Cultural Policy of the Library and analyze of the Public for the period 1992-2001. The annual reports of the Library have been used in this Paper, as well as the documentations of the Department of the Culture and Information Activities.
