Bismuth Shielding, Organ-based Tube Current Modulation, and Global Reduction of Tube Current for Dose Reduction to the Eye at Head CT

Organ-based tube current modulation provided similar dose reduction to the eye as bismuth shielding but better image quality; a global reduction of tube current by approximately 30% achieves the same dose reduction to the eye as bismuth shielding but also reduces dose to the brain and maintains CT number accuracy.
