RFLP Standardization Report for Class I/BgIII

The class I/PstI system identified a total of 30 fragments (Table 1 and Fig. 1). Five of these (St. fragment 7,15, 17,29, and 30) have been excluded from the analysis because they were very weak fragments seen only on a few films, which also made the assignments uncertain. St. fragment 12 is a weakly hybridizing fragment, the assignment of which is somewhat uncertain because it is very close to the nonpolymorphic St. fragment 11. The same problem concerns the distinction between fragments 13 and 14. St. fragment 13 might even consist of two fragments. St. fragments 18 and 26 are not seen in the blot in Figure 1.
