The invention discloses a method, system and equipment for automatic neighbor relation establishment. The method comprises the steps that a serving base station receives a measurement report, which carries a PCI (physical cell identifier) of a target cell, from a terminal device and sends a request message, which is used for obtaining neighbor relation information and carries the PCI of the target cell, to a management station if a neighbor relation with the target cell is not established currently, and the management station determines the neighbor relation information of the target cell by using the PCI of the target cell; and the serving base station receives a response message, which is used for informing the neighbor relation information and carries the neighbor relation information of the target cell, from the management station and establishes the neighbor relation with the target cell by using the neighbor relation information of the target cell. According to the method, the system and the equipment, the process for establishing automatic neighbor relations can be simplified, the number of messages during the establishment of the automatic neighbor relations is reduced, the time for establishing the automatic neighbor relations is reduced, and the handover success ratio of terminal devices is increased.
