Absorbing textile structure

The invention relates to an absorbent textile structure with high absorption capacity for oils, emulsions, chemicals and other water and soil pollutants, consisting of a composite with a wrapped absorbent core, characterized in that between a thin, transparent, dimensionally stable, and lint free base and cover layer (1 2;, 3) are connected to each other which is formed from a continuous filaments arranged in tangled position and all the layers (1, 2) has a suction and storable layer (3) is arranged. By varying the outer nonwoven layers used and the centrally enclosed substantially unconsolidated filament nonwoven an absorbent textile structure can be provided with specially configured functional properties available depending on the application area for receiving pollutants.
