Engine hood structure

The invention discloses an engine hood structure which comprises a hood outer plate made of sheet molding compound (SMC), wherein a hood inner plate made of the SMC is fixedly connected to the inner side of the hood outer plate, hinge installation holes are formed in the rear ends on the left side and the right side of the hood inner plate, hinge installation nuts are preburied in the hinge installation holes, a supporting rod supporting hole is formed in front of the hinge installation holes in the hood inner plate, a reinforcement gasket ring is preburied in the supporting rod supporting hole, a locking installation hole is formed in front of the hood inner plate, and a locking installation nut is preburied in the locking installation hole. According to the engine hood structure, the SMC replaces steel plates, weight of the hood structure is greatly lightened, rigidness and strength requirements of the hood structure are ensured, great contribution is given to lightness of a vehicle body, and the weight is lightened by more than 20%. Due to the fact that simple reinforcement parts including the hinge installation nuts, the reinforcement gasket ring and the locking installation nut are preburied on the hood inner plate, the problem of large number of parts and complex connection process of the traditional engine hood is avoided, and the engine hood structure is simplified.
