Endoscopic endonasal reduction of medial and inferior blow-out fractures treated with application of Nasopore Forte plus

Abstract Background There is a paucity of data on whether the absorbable material is appropriate for endoscopic endonasal reduction (EER), particularly on the inferior orbital wall. Case description We applied a biodegradable dressing, Nasopore Forte plus, to a patient with medial and inferior orbital wall fractures and another patient with medial orbital wall. The dressings which applied into the maxillary sinus maintained the shape for almost 1 month (case 1). Also, the overcorrection can be easily treated by removing the dressings in out-patient office setting without the redundant surgical procedure (case 2). Conclusion Nasopore Forte plus can be a simple, sufficient, and adjustable support material for the EER of blowout fractures.
