A method of determining the state of wear of a tire for aircraft

The present invention relates to a method for determining the state of a tire for aircraft, and more particularly a method for determining the state of wear, to predict residual service life, and more exactly the number of 'residual landings, said tire. A method for determining the state of an airplane tire, said tire comprising a tread having at least one circumferential rib comprising at least one wear indicator, said determining method comprising: a capturing step of a first pattern of positioning of the wear indicator, for identifying the position of said wear indicator in the tread, -a step of capturing a second state of the wear indicator pattern, for determining the state of wear of the relevant circumferential rib at a given instant, -a step of analyzing the first positioning unit and the second ground state of the wear indicator captured and determination of state of wear of the circumferential rib at a given instant, -a step of restitution of information on the state of the tire.
