Otolaryngological manifestations of Measles (Rubeola): A case report and brief review

2016
Measles is an acute viral respiratory illness caused by a virus of the Paramyxoviridae family. Despite being eliminated from the United States, small outbreaks across the country continue to occur. The United States experienced a record number of cases in 2014, with 668 cases seen across the country, a record since its elimination in 2000. Here, we present a case of an acute presentation of measles illness and discuss the otolaryngologic manifestation of the disease. Level of Evidence NA Laryngoscope, 2015
