Advance in the Rheological processing for clean and perfect castings

2008
Rheological processing for clean and perfect castings is a green casting technology to obtain the perfect castings with high precision in dimension and fine quality in microstructure by means of a high pressure and favorable rheologic of the liquid or semisolid alloy melts. One of its advances in the recent years is the model of apparent viscosity based on the energy dissipation in the process. Applications of the technology are not limited to the nonferrous alloy with lower melting point. The uses in ferrous alloys is more and more such as the abrasion-resistant materials, lower alloy steels and high alloy steel. The further targets are to advance the process theory and to enlarge the using fields.
