The reason for additional HFS at g ≅ 4.3 in the Mn2+ EPR line in chalcogenide glasses

1982
Abstract A model is proposed for the interpretation of the complex HFS at the Mn 2+ EPR line with the effective g -factor of about 4.3 This model attributes the additional HFS line to the forbidden hyperfine transitions. The expressions for the deviation of the g -factor at the lowest Kramers doublet from isotropy are obtained. Estimations of the forbidden transition probabilities due to different physical reasons are given. Some experimental regularities are discussed for a number of glass systems.
