Design of Dual-Feed Open-Slot Antenna

A Dual-Feed Open-Slot antenna that is utilized by bottom metal frame of handset is proposed in this paper. The proposed Dual-Feed antenna has two feeding ports which are set on both sides between grounding port. Through the left feeding port, one mode is excited to cover high band(2300MHz-2700MHz). Through the right feeding port, three modes are excited to cover low band and middle band(700MHz-960MHz, 1700MHz-2200MHz). The two Feeding ports get a simulated isolation better than 12dB through filters design in matching circuits. Furthermore, through the optimal design, right feeding port can also cover 2300MHz-2400MHz. The isolation is better than 10dB and the ECC is lower than 0.07.A prototype is fabricated and measured. The isolation is better than 13dB.
