Preparation and Curie Temperatures of Nanosized (Pb,Sr)TiO3 Powders
2005
Nanosized perovskite lead strontium titanate (PbxSr1-x)TiO3 (PST) powders were successfully prepared by a simple coprecipitation method. A lead-strontium titanyl oxalate (PSTO) precursor was first synthesized at room temperature and the precursor was then calcined at various temperatures to produce the PST powders ranging from 10 to 200 nm in size. The effects of PST particle size on Curie temperature and dielectric constant have been investigated. High-temperature X-ray diffraction results showed that the Curie temperature of Pb0.7Sr0.3TiO3 powder with a size of 10 nm decreased from 290 to 120–130°C.
