Background:Adherence, namely medical or health directives in the level of accuracy and response of an individual and explain about the use of drugs as well as the instructions contained in the prescription also includes its use at the right time. Recurrence is a recurrence of symptoms of schizophrenia that have been experienced. Research Objectives: Analyzing the relationship of adherence to taking antipsychotic drugs with patient recurrence. Research Method: This study uses a quantitative research method with a descriptive correlative method with a sample of 46 respondents detected by schizophrenia in the Surakarta RSJD Poly taken with a purposive sampling technique. Measurement of recurrence and compliance using a questionnaire, ethical clearance, informed consent, and then the data were analyzed with the SPSS program. Results: Spearman test results obtained p = 0,001. This means there is a relationship between adherence to taking antipsychotic drugs with relapse of schizophrenic patients in Surakarta Regional Mental Hospital (H0 rejected or Ha accepted) Conclusion: Adherence to take medication for schizophrenia patients in Schizophrenia Patients in RSJD Surakarta, most of the respondents had a high level of adherence to treatment. The recurrence rate of schizophrenia patients in Schizophrenia Patients in RSJD Surakarta most of the respondents never relapse. There is a relationship between medication adherence with the relapse of schizophrenia patients who are on outpatient treatment in Schizophrenia Patients in RSJD Surakarta
