Infrared and Multispectral Sensing

1967
The purpose of this paper is to present a brief introduction to infrared pictorial sensing for biologists. How the scanning systems developed for infrared might be extended to provide a true multispectral sensing system utilizing the infrared, visible, and ultraviolet regions in concert will be shown. Such a system appears capable of simultaneously improving contrast and also of reducing the work load of the human interpreter.
