Cytochromes P450 in genetically engineered cell cultures: the gene technological approach

Molecular cloning of genes encoding cytochromes P450 followed by heterologous expression in various systems is being successfully applied in multi-faceted studies of cytochromes P450. The application of modern molecular biology techniques is especially indicated for complex systems such as the cytochromes P450 in order to sort out a particular isoform without the need for tedious purification.
