The application of intensive care in patients with elevated peritoneal dialysis

2018
Objective To explore the effect of cluster nursing on the serum phosphorus level of patients with peritoneal dialysis. Methods A total of 192 patients with peritoneal dialysis and elevated blood phosphorus from the department of nephrology of Longhua Hospital of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in January to June 2016 were selected and were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 96 cases of each group. The control group adopted routine nursing mode. The observation group adopted the cluster nursing mode, including the individualized low-phosphorus diet management, the management of the adequacy of the dialysis, and the management of phosphorus binding agent. All of them had been clinically proven to be effective evidence-based nursing methods. Results The level of blood phosphorus was decreased in the observation group, and the degree and satisfaction of health knowledge were significantly higher than that in the control group.Compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01) Conclusions The intensive care model can reduce the blood phosphorus level of the patients with peritoneal dialysis and improve the degree of health knowledge and satisfaction.
