Sagitta enflata is a species distributed around the world in tropical and subtropical regions, from 40oN to 40°S latitude, living from the surface to several hundred meters depth in almost all oceans. Sagitta enflata is an abundant species in the Gulf of California, yet little is known about their role as predators of other zooplankton groups.
