MATLAB based FPGA power validation utility

This paper proposed a power validation utility for Virtex2Pro FPGA. This tool is developed for power validation purpose for the various digital circuits designs targeted to FPGAs. In today's scenario high power consumption is the main issue in digital systems and lots of researchers are working in this domain. Although, there are some sophisticated tools available for power analysis like Xpower estimator, Xpower analyzer etc. which are quite good at their part but research needs a validation of the work. So, this tool helps researchers to validate and compare their results with the results of existing tools. This tool requires some inputs obtained after synthesis of the design under consideration. The results show that it provides good estimate of the power.
