An optical module comprising a housing accommodating an optical system. A housing main body has an opening. A lid is connected to the main body so as to close the opening of the main body. The lid seals the housing. An antiwear agent in order to avoid wear of the optical system is arranged inside the housing in a position outside the beam path of the optical system. The antiwear agent comprises at least one desiccant or a deoxidizer.
