Recharging a potable water supply aquifer with reclaimed wastewater in Cambria, California
1992
Water supply and delivery as well as wastewater collection and treatment in Cambria are provided by the Cambrla Community Services District (District). The wastewater treatment plant is a small contact stabilization activated sludge plant. The District currently disposes of its effluent in dedicated spray disposal fields located two and one half miles north of the treatment plant. The potable water for the community is supplied by two aquifers, Santa Rosa Creek aquifer and San Simeon Creek aquifer.
