Spectrally tunable, temporally shaped parametric front end to seed high-energy laser systems

We demonstrate the generation of temporally shaped pulses at the 200-mJ level with a tuning range greater than 15 nm via parametric amplification as a high-performance alternative to Nd-doped laser systems.
