Study of the Contents of Serum Tau P-Tau and the Clinical Observation on Effect of Combination of Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine on Treating Alzheimer's Disease

Objective:To investigate the contents of serum Tau,P-tau and the clinical observation on effect of combination of Western and traditional Chinese medicine on treating Alzheimer's disease.Methods:120 patients with Alzheimer's disease were randomly divided into two groups:one group was treated with donepezil and the other group treated with donepezil and differentiating syndromes by TCM to prevent Alzheimer's disease.MMSE Scale in two groups were assessed and compared before treatment and 12 weeks after treatment.The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA was used to detect the content of Tau and P-tau of groups before and after treatment.Results:There was significant difference between the two groups in the total therapeutic rate(P0.05).The cognitive functions were improved markedly in the group treated with donepezil and traditional Chinese medicine(P0.01).The contents of serum Tau and P-tau before and after treatment in groups had a statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Combination of donepezil and traditional Chinese medicine can markedly ameliorate the cognitive functions in patients with Alzheimer's disease.The contents of serum Tau and P-tau have clinical reference value in the diagnosis and treatment of AD.
