Dynamic recrystallization: a mathematical model
1992
A mathematical model is proposed for dynamic recrystallization from consideration of dislocation accumulation and annihilation, grain nucleation and absorption, and grain boundary migration. Numerical solutions are presented of the equations used to formulate a criterion under which single-peak strain-hardening curves give way to their multiple-peak counterparts. The structural changes accompanying grain refinement or coarsening and their relation to the shape of strain-hardening curves are discussed
