The structural changes occurring during the synthesis of crosslinked polymer systems based on diisocyanates and alkylene sulphides

1980
Abstract Turbidity spectra have been used to study the changes which occur during the early stages of crosslinked systems from diisocyanates (DIC) and alkylene sulphides (AS). These changes are shown to be due to a micro-syneresis which results in part of the AS separating out of the swollen DIC network. The dimension and the volume fraction of the irregularity thus produced depends on the network density.
