THM KIZILÖTESİ SEL YÜKSELTEÇ MODUNUN FİZİBİLİTE ÇALIŞMASI

Ozet: Turk Hizlandirici Merkezi (THM) Kizilotesi Serbest Elektron Lazeri (Ko-SEL)
Osilator modda isletilmek uzere tasarlanmistir. Osilator Modunda (O modu) SEL,
salindirici magnetle optik kavitede isigi doyuma ulastirana kadar karsilikli ayna
sistemleri arasinda salindirmak sureti ile elde edilir. Yukseltec modda (Amplifier mod)
ise, elektron demetiyle birlikte salindiriciya eszamanli girecek bir tohum lazere (seed
lazer) ihtiyac duyulur. Yukseltec modda Ko-SEL uretimi, salindirici icerisinde tohum
lazerin elektron demetiyle etkileserek guclendirilmesi esasina dayanir. Bu calismada
SIMPLEX (X-ray FEL Partical Simulator) simulasyon programi yardimi ile THM'de
Osilator modda elde edilmesi planlanan Ko-SEL gucunun ayni miktarinin, Yukseltec
modda da elde edilebilecegi, THM Ko-SEL projesinde kullanilmasi dusunulen ayni
salindirici ve elektron demeti parametreleri simulasyonda kullanilarak gosterilmistir.

FEASIBILITY STUDY OF FEL AMPLIFIER MODE OF TAC IR FEL
Abstract: Turkish Accelerator Complex (TAC) Infrared Free Electron Laser facility
(IR-FEL) is designed to run in the mode of Oscillator. Oscillator Mode FEL (O Mode
FEL ) is obtained on condition that laser is undulated between two parallel mirrors in
optical cavity until it reaches to saturation. Amplifier Mode needs a seed laser which
enter the undulator simultaneously with the electron beam. In Amplifier Mode, the
production of IR-FEL is based on the amplification of seed laser with the interaction of
electron beam in an udulator. In this study SIMPLEX (X-ray FEL Partical Simulator)
simulation code has been used and it is argued that same amount of power of IR-FEL
which is planning to obtain in Oscillator Mode, could be obtained in Amplifier Mode as
well, the used undulator and electron beam parameters in the simulation are the same
with the parameters of TAC, IR-FEL project.
