Effects of vasectomy on testes.

1972 
A study of testes on 10 dogs subjected to unilateral vasectomies were observed for 8 weeks. By the sixth week spermatogenesis was arrested and Leydig cell hyperplasia was evident perhaps a compensatory reaction. 2 animals revealed a chronic inflammatory cellular reaction in the interstitial. A possibility exists these reactions occur in man following vasectomy.
