The Detection of Gastric Emptying with Bioelectrical Impedance

The gastric emptying information is a major subject of gastric motility study, but convenient, effective and repetitive routine tests are still lacking. In this paper, a new detection method is developed based on bioelectrical impedance. Using the method, we successfully extracted smooth gastric emptying curve which be separated out from bio-impedance using wavelet transform. and obtained the correction results of the half time emptying The gastric emptying half-time of 24 volunteers is 8.78±1.76min in the experiment.
