Measurements of rail vibration in a residential building behind a wave barrier trench

The authors have previously reported on a wave barrier trench that was constructed to reduce vibration transmission from railroad to a multifamily residential building [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 139, 2159]. The reduction in ground vibration levels due to the trench was measured in several site conditions [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 140, 3281].
