An Overview of Tropospheric Ozone Research

In this overview, the aims of the EUROTRAC subproject Tropospheric Ozone Research (TOR) are presented, the observational network with its instrumentation, standardisation and calibration procedures, the data base and numerical models applied, are described and the main scientific findings are summarised. A comprehensive overview of the scientific results of TOR is given in the six task group reports which follow after the initial chapter of this volume. Thereafter follow the reports of the individual investigators.
