SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL EVALUATION OF IMINO SUBSTITUTED 1, 3, 4 OXA AND THIADIAZOLES

A series of new 2-amino 1, 3, 4oxadiazoles and 1, 3, 4 thiadiazoles Were synthesized followed by condensation with various substituted aldehydes to yield their Schiffbases.The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity against two Gram positive bacteria two Gram negative bacteria and two fungal species /yeast strains.All the synthesized compounds showed good antimicrobial activity.
