It is shown a system in which a composite catalyst to which an LNT catalyst and an oxidation catalyst to be connected, a catalyzed particulate filter, an injection device configured to inject a urea-water solution into an exhaust gas passage, and a SCR catalyst are arranged in this order in the flow direction of the exhaust gas from top to bottom.
