사회복지사의 감정노동이 소진에 미치는 영향:일 가치감과 사회적 지원의 매개효과를 중심으로

2019
This study examines the question of social workers’ burnout due to their emotional labor through the mediating effects of work value and social support. The basic data were gathered from social workers employed in social welfare agencies within Gyeonggi Province. The analysis was conducted utilizing a structural equation model based on the data of 281 people who responded to the survey. The results of the analysis showed that the emotional labor that social workers feel had a positive (+) effect on burnout, work values, and social support; work value and social support had a negative (-) effect on burnout. This means that social workers burn out more as they experience more emotional labor, but such burnout may be avoided if they receive a sufficient amount of social support and have a feeling of pride in their work. From this study, it was revealed that the best way to prevent burnout among social workers is support from colleagues and organizations while encouraging them to take pride in what they do in the field.
