Temperature-invariant curves and special features of the stress-strain diagrams of self-reinforced polyethylene

1992
Recently developed methods of orientation strengthening of flexible-chain polymers have led to high mechanical characteristics in these materials. The complex study of the properties of flexible-chain polymers (polyethylene self-reinforced during orientational crystallization) conducted in wide temperature-time ranges can be used to investigate the effect of the rate of deformation and temperature on the mechanical properties of the material.
