The Estimation of Age from the Dentition

Detailed knowledge of the manner of development of the dentition and of the way in which tooth structure is progressively modified by internal and environmental influences is helpful when the age of an individual has to be assessed. The accuracy with which this can be done decreases with age. Extensive experience on the part of the investigator is required.
