The invention discloses a steam production device and a direct compression type heat pump system. The heat pump system comprises the steam production device, a heated hot water outlet pipe, a condensation heat exchanger, a water to be heated inlet pipe, a steam input pipe and a vacuum connection pipe, wherein a steam compression device is connected with the steam input pipe; the steam input pipe is connected with the condensation heat exchanger; the steam input pipe is used for introducing high-temperature and high-pressure steam generated by compression of the steam compression device into the condensation heat exchanger; the heated hot water outlet pipe and the water to be heated inlet pipe are respectively connected with the condensation heat exchanger; the water to be heated inlet pipe is used for conveying water to be heated into the condensation heat exchanger; the water to be heated is heated in the condensation heat exchanger by the high-temperature and high-pressure steam input by the steam input pipe; and the heated hot water outlet pipe is used for discharging heated hot water out of the condensation heat exchanger. By the use of the low-temperature and low-pressure evaporation characteristic of water, the system can recycle heat of low-grade hot water and recycle and reuse cooling water for condensation so as to fulfill the aims of energy conservation and energy recycling and reuse.
