Exterior Morphological Variation of Desmodium Desv. and Research on Its Morphological Type

[Objective] The aim was to study the exterior properties of Desmodium Desv.and discuss their correlations.[Method] The variance and law of determined properties were analyzed by using data processing system software SAS(6.0)and SPSS(10.0)and the genetic correlation coefficients among properties were calculated.[Result] The variation coefficient of nature plant height was up to 104.97% and that of leaf length and leaf width were 26.34% and 33.51% resp.The variation coefficients of 1 000-seed weight,grains per pod,pod length,seed length and seed width were 35.13%,17.06%,24.99%,21.08% and 20.35% resp.The variation coefficients of central petiolule length and leaf stalk length were 40.39% and 58.24% resp.The correlation coefficients between length and width of central leaflet,leaf stalk length and width of central leaflet were 0.837 0 and 0.579 0 resp.;that between plant height and leaflet length,leaflet width,petiolule length and leaf stalk width were 0.648 8,0.689 7,0.515 6 and 0.695 4 resp.;that between 1 000-seed weight and seed length,seed width were 0.874 5 and 0.829 3 resp.;that between pod length and plant height,leaf stalk length were 0.589 6 and 0.605 9 resp.[Conclusion] This study laid a theoretical foundation for exploitation of Desmodium Desv.germplasm resources.
