A New Approach to define reproducibility of Additive Layers manufactured components

This paper proposes a new approach to improve the reproducibility of the additive layer manufacturing parts. The new methodology allows to qualify the process acquiring data from several sensors placed on the printing head and referring the acquired data to a precise area of the handwork. This association will be made correlating the accelerometric information acquired by an IMU with a pattern estimated on the base of the G-CODE of the parts to print. The proposed strategy does not require to interface the printing machine. The acquired data can be stored in a Database and analyzed comparing the data of different printing of the same model, allowing the definition of reproducibility, reliability and degradation.
