Metal pigment-containing, aqueous pigment pastes and their use for the production of effect-imparting aqueous coating materials

Of binders and grinding resins free, aqueous pigment paste comprising, based on its overall amount, (A) 15 to 25 wt .-% of at least one mica pigment, (B) 0.45 to 0.75 wt .-% of at least one acrylate thickener nonassociative of at least one methacrylate copolymer based on (C (C) 0.1 to 0.4 wt .-% of at least one organic amine, (D) 0.1 to 12 wt .-% of at least one nonionic surfactant and (E) at least 50 wt .-% water.
