Nucleon elastic form factors at high Q2

Electron scattering allows precise determination of the form factors of the proton and neutron, providing insight into their electromagnetic structure. The energy upgrade of Jefferson Lab's CEBAF accelerator, in combination with large acceptance spectrometers and high rate detectors, will make it possible to push the range of high precision measurements to higher Q2, probing the smallscale structure of the quark distribution within the nucleon.
